A Celebrated Team

Bobbi Olson

Executive Director

“I look forward to each day here at The Bridges at Bent Creek. I am provided with both challenges and opportunities to enjoy and enhance the residents' lives.”

After graduating with an Associate in Occupational Therapy, I worked in behavioral health services in Erie for 20 years with varied positions, including resident assistant and in activities. In 1993, I was provided the training to become a certified personal care home administrator and I have been involved with personal care in both small specialized personal care and traditional homes since. During my time in Erie, I also completed my Bachelors in Social Work at Edinboro University. I truly enjoy working with seniors as both a provider and advocate, and I am thrilled that my journey has brought me to The Bridges at Bent Creek!

Gina Taliani

Director of Health Services

"I enjoy my job at The Bridges at Bent Creek because serving others is what touches my heart." I started my career at the YMCA after receiving my degree in Kinesiology.

I enjoyed my time at the Y and learned a great deal about 55+ programming community activities. I worked well with every population at the Y but always enjoyed my 55 + members. When I was ready to advance my career I searched for a job in the health field. I saw the position for The Bridges Recreation and Events Director and it was a perfect fit. I grew the program at The Bridges at Bent Creek and branched out into my current position which unitizes the degree I completed at West Chester University.

Sarah Wiser

Marketing & Admissions Counselor

"The most important part of my day is the time I am able to spend directly with the residents."

I began working with older adults while I was still enrolled in high school. Later on, while attending Bloomsburg University, I continued to work with older adults, which led me to accepting my first recreation position in February 2007. My path led me to The Bridges at Bent Creek in August 2010. I could not be more pleased to spend my days with the residents; they bring such joy to my life.

Jean Harrington

Business Office Manager

"Life means something here at The Bridges at Bent Creek; together with each and every person we Celebrate Life!”

My responsibilities encompass many aspects of our business, from AP/AR to overseeing the safety committee. I champion the management of staffing, administrative and human resources tasks, including interviews, hiring, orientation and other activities to support the day-to-day performance of the company. I am no stranger to health care, with over thirty years of long-term living experience; my skills keep our team running smoothly to offer the highest level of customer service to our residents, their families and our team.

Jo Ann Brehm

Resident Relations Coordinator

"I appreciate the blessings that come from Celebrating Life everyday at The Bridges at Bent Creek with the residents."

After graduating from college, I spent 25 years in the Admissions Office at Dickinson College. I decided that I wanted to change careers, and began the marketing for a Continuing Care Community, Green Ridge Village in Newville. The position at Green Ridge Village brought me to being hired as The Director of marketing for Bent Creek Crossing, the 55+ community located next door to the Bridges at Bent Creek. After semi-retiring from this position I received a phone call from Robert Basile, owner of The Bridges at Bent Creek. Robert asked me to help market The Bridges at Bent Creek for three months. Three months … and counting!

Andrea Culwell

Director of Resident Engagement

"I thoroughly enjoy and receive fulfillment making a difference in the lives of these residents each day. I have always appreciated the company of older adults"

I like seeing the final product, but I find it most rewarding to experience the journey with the residents.

Ray Walmer

Plant Services Director

“It’s very fulfilling to positively impact the lives of so many residents. Their smiles and positive interactions make every day a great day at the Bridges.”

I began working as an electrician for my father’s company at a very early age. My father and I went on to start another company designing and fabricating hydrotherapy treadmill pools. That is where I obtained most of my knowledge of all of the major construction fields. I went on to work in plant operations at a local rehabilitation hospital and that is where I found the enjoyment of working with patients and residents. Their happiness is my happiness.

A native of Linglestown, PA, I now live in Newville and spend my free time with my wife and 6 children working around our 15 acre farm which is also home to a variety of animals.

Jason Gardner

Director of Dining Services

“My favorite part of the day is walking through the dining room at meal times listening to residents and their stories.”

I was born and raised in New Bloomfield PA. I became interested in the culinary field while involved in the Boy Scouts. It seemed like every event and campout I was always the one who did all the cooking and everyone always looked forward to the meals I cooked. After graduating from West Perry High School, I enrolled in culinary school at Pennsylvania Culinary located in downtown Pittsburgh, PA. I graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts. After graduating from culinary school, I cooked at Hotel Hershey before moving on to hospitals, schools, and senior communities. Through all my various experiences I have found that I enjoy Senior Communities the best. I enjoy learning about people’s pasts and how they became the people they are today.
